we had a family dinner last night at tine's house to celebrate and everybody worked really hard and we got to eat my last supper...it was super great. and then, following covey tradition, everybody shared a memory or something about me they liked. it was really rejuvenating to hear so many good things that people had to say. it felt good.
then we got to the booty load of presents. holy moly! i now understand how people could become birthday divas. it was fantastic. i've never had a birthday when everything i opened was more exciting than the next. thanks everybody and i highly recommend turning 30. it's fantastic!
i wanted to document the motherload of presents for the blog and isaac wanted in on the action...i know...EVERYTHING is food related. i LOVED it!
i have to say this was the Pièce de résistance...these are some of the most high quality cookware you can find out there and my mom started my collection for me a couple of years ago...this dude has a 9 1/2 qt capacity and i'm already dreaming about everything i'll use it for :)
Welcome to the birthday diva club. It's fun here! :)

ReplyDeleteHey! I LOVE being thirty, too. (And when I add caps I mean it.) When I was a teenager I heard my mom happily reminiscing with someone. "I loved my thirties," she said. "I was so productive in my thirties." So here's to a wonderfully productive decade, sista! Happy Birthday, Callie.
ReplyDeletele creuset for your birthday is a one great day indeed!
ReplyDeleteThe best birthday ever! Look at that load...and the cookware...the color, the quality. BLISS.
