how i know i'm a mother of five...

1. i know EXACTLY what filling a bottle with 4 ounces of water sounds like...i'm not kidding...EXACTLY. i mean i'll double to check to make sure, but i'm right on about 99% of the time.

2. at any given location, i can distinguish each of my children's cries/whines from among the 50 other children there at the same time.

3. i can function, even thrive, on anywhere from 2-5 hours of interrupted sleep and even be happy about it.

4. i drive this awesome piece of machinery and it's FABULOUS.

5. i'm fluent in all things kiddos...toys, shows, i'm working on books, places of entertainment, etc...

6. i know that my laundry might never be done...ever...but last night jon told me we should hire someone to help me out...i'm still deciding how i feel about that :)

7. my deepest joy lies in helping these little people learn how to be happy themselves...

p.s. brion and nicole, this last pic if for you guys. most awesome onesie EVER.

  1. Totally get someone to help out; Enjoy the blessing! It doesn't have to be for forever if you don't want it to be. Very soon, your kids will be old enough to help with their own laundry.

I love your #7. That's one thing I always notice about your kids: their happiness.

  3. I have the "sound of 4 ounces" talent, too! We have been bottle free for over a year, and I had to make a bottle last week - still got it right on!
Love your sweet ride, and always accept help - it leaves more time to be with the kiddos!

  4. I love your list. Although I'm not sure I could say I "thrive" on 2-5 hours of sleep...probably "tolerate". More power to you!
