these days whenever i hear the word "gallon" i automatically get a little depressed thinking about how it almost costs $100 to fill up my tank...anyway...the gallon a day to which i refer now is a gallon of water.
jon and i are having a little contest with our awesome friends natalie and richie. we just got back from a little visit with them and we all decided being healthy is a good thing and contests always get the competitive juices going. sooooo...for the next 90 days or so (until october 31 when we see them again for the workshop) we are all going to drink a gallon of water a day. the catch is that if you don't get your whole gallon in, $5 goes in the pot and whichever couple has missed the fewest days of drinking their gallon gets the other couple's money. great idea yeah?
we're on day 3 and the first two days i thought my stomach was going to explode. i looked pregnant and was peeing my brains out. but things are on the up and up and i don't feel bloated anymore and i just feel good. i can't even really describe how it's different, but it's good. i don't feel clogged, i have more energy and i won't go into details of how my body is cleaning itself out.
so yay for water and yay for a photographer-nutritionist-personal trainer-yoga instructor friend who got us into this water war!
YES!
ReplyDeleteThe marathon peeing should let up by next week. Go you!
ReplyDeleteSounds like fun that you made it a competition! I did this for a while, and it was amazing how much better I felt. Now if I don't get at least 64 oz a day, I feel all weird and off. Water is wonderful!
ReplyDeleteThis is awesome. I, too, love water. It's my favorite thing to drink. I'm sooo behind you and Jon to win this competition! We should make a "Team Canlas" t-shirt! Love ya!
ReplyDeleteAt least you're not attempting this while pregnant, that could be bad. :) I'm a big water fan, and I don't understand people who don't drink it. Good luck you two! I can't wait to hear your updates on this.
ReplyDeleteGood luck! That sounds awesome! I hope you guys win. :)
ReplyDeleteHi! I hope you're feeling better. Jon said you'd been feeling yucky! Boo. Boo. Boo. Water will help. . . ;)
ReplyDeleteDid I mention I'm also a general practitioner? Muahahahahaha! (Cue hardy laugh).
I found you Callie! It's your bunco buddy Leah. :) I am so all about competition. Once back in 2003 my roomates and I had a no sugar contest. Whoever broke first had to buy everyone in the contest a brand new outfit. We stuck with it for like 3 or 4 months!!! I was so proud of myself for never breaking!
ReplyDeleteMaybe when my hubby gets back from the sandbox we will have the H2o competition. I know how fabulous water is! I just seem to forget sometimes....

ReplyDeleteI hope you guys win!
